Imam Sadr Foundation launched its annual Month of Ramadan festivities with men’s Iftar at Phoenicia Hotel in Beirut Thursday evening on May 18th, 2018 in the presence of a crowd of prominent dignitaries, politicians and media professionals.
Mrs. Rabab Sadr welcomed guests and called for more cooperation to meet destitution and displacement requirements, which affect segments that are constantly expanding while resources are shrinking. She stressed the importance of engaging in affirmative action each from their position. She added: “We are in need for sweet patience, a lot of wisdom, tolerance and more tolerance.”
We have to live with a set back where we postponed some projects that require substantial financial investment; we have been keen to meet the basic medical and educational needs and food. We set aside our energy to smooth living conditions of those left at the edge of the country or at the edge of survival.”
In conclusion, she thanked all participants, and organizers. “Your presence among us provided us with the will to continue and determination to work,” she concluded.
Mr. Zahi Wahbi stood as M. C. reminiscing Imam Sadr’s stands: “The Imam of Resistance, Dialogue and Tolerance.” Then added: “The consolation in all this is that the path of resistance is still going, which has resulted in victory and liberation of the land. Imam’s educational and cultural path still bloom under the leadership of Mrs. Rabab Sadr.”
Then he touched on broad titles related to the role of Imam Sadr Foundation in social service and development. He pointed out that the Foundation Choir is a bridge between people of different faiths and affiliations.
