For the second consecutive year, Imam Sadr Foundation launched a summer camp for displaced Syrians called “Al Yasmine”. It was located in the town of Aita al-Shaab for children between 7-15 years. The camp started on Saturday 11/8/2018 and continued until 18/8/2018 followed by similar activity for the same age group in the town of Seddiquin from 24/8/2018 until 31/8/2018. The activities of the camps are part of the project to promote the positive values of displaced Syrians and residents implemented by Imam Sadr FOundation in cooperation with the Mennonite Central Committee (MCC).

The activity aimed to:
– Promote dialogue and convergence within displaced groups, and also with host communities;
– Promote positive values and practices, such as human rights and justice between citizenship and the protection of children;
– Improve the chances of decent accommodation among displaced people, as well as improve the capacity of host groups.

The activity package included: recreation, improving life skills, sports, drama, and manual skills.

“Strategic Planning and Balanced Score Card”, the training workshop conducted at SADRFoundation for local NGOs on 26 – 27 July, 2018.
The Workshop was animated by Mr. Wassim Al-Zein, Head of HR department at SADRFoundation.
This activity is within a series of capacity building program implemented by Taqat and funded by Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI) and Mennonite Central Committee (MCC).

Another activity “Training of Trainers- TOT” is taking place today.

UNIFIL at ISFKidsventure

UNIFIL at ISFKidsventure

A team from the UNITED NATIONS INTERIM FORCE IN LEBANON “UNIFIL” organized an hour and a half activity to the summer camp kids at Imam Sadr Foundation “ISFKIDSVENTURE” aged between 6 and 14.

UNIFIL in coordination with ISFKIDSVENTURE team split the kids into two age groups and started the program with a PowerPoint presentation for each group. They briefed the kids on the role and duties of UNIFIL followed by a Q&A competition among kids who’ve been given gifts at the end of the session. Shortly after the session the 115 kids were gathered at the green lawn playground where UNIFIL carried out two games; the Tag O’ war (Rope pulling challenge) and sack race game where kids enjoyed it a lot. At the end of the activity UNIFIL team distributed caps, t-shirts and backpacks to the participants followed by a group photo.
