Green Thinking

Imam Sadr Foundation emphasizes gender and environment as cross-cutting issues in all its initiatives, mainly in educational components.  The foundation conceives the sustainable development in its comprehensiveness. It is no longer logical to improvise partial solutions to global issues, especially after environmental deterioration aggravated, pressure on natural resources increased, and borders that limited the movement of people, ideas, capital and commodities disintegrated. This comprehensive and sustained solution requires synergy among all concerned players. A component of this solution is the renewable energy resources as its going to be a central element in the economy of the immediate future.

We believe that higher is the knowledge and the confidence that each student establishes with’ and ‘acquires of’ this field, the higher the confidence and the feel of being part of the future making. Recently, the foundation took a further step in expanding the scope and type of its partnership with peer sisters and other bodies. This partnership includes sounding initiatives from environmental perspective, such as the installation of solar systems for water heating in its compound in Tyr and in 3 other localities; the installation of LED lighting fixtures,  and the electricity generation by using new technologies.
