Al- Yasmine 2 Summer Camp

For the second consecutive year, Imam Sadr Foundation launched a summer camp for displaced Syrians called “Al Yasmine”. It was located in the town of Aita al-Shaab for children between 7-15 years. The camp started on Saturday 11/8/2018 and continued until 18/8/2018 followed by similar activity for the same age group in the town of Seddiquin from 24/8/2018 until 31/8/2018. The activities of the camps are part of the project to promote the positive values of displaced Syrians and residents implemented by Imam Sadr FOundation in cooperation with the Mennonite Central Committee (MCC).

The activity aimed to:
– Promote dialogue and convergence within displaced groups, and also with host communities;
– Promote positive values and practices, such as human rights and justice between citizenship and the protection of children;
– Improve the chances of decent accommodation among displaced people, as well as improve the capacity of host groups.

The activity package included: recreation, improving life skills, sports, drama, and manual skills.
