Why would someone accept a job unrelated to their field? While the reasons may vary, the truth eventually comes to light, and circumstances can change significantly, as they did for Mohammad. Thanks to his determination, kindness, and the awareness of the administrators at the Imam Sadr Foundation, his story is truly inspiring.
So, what is Mohammad’s story? In 2021, Mohammad joined the Imam Sadr Foundation as a gardener, diligently caring for the compound’s gardens. One day, during his working hours, a student fainted on the stairs leading to the outdoor courtyard. Mohammad immediately rushed to help, revealing his true background as a former nurse. The news of his quick reaction spread quickly to the administration, who were very surprised by Mohammad’s original profession. They offered him an unexpected opportunity to continue his nursing education at the Imam Sadr Foundation.
Mohammad did not disappoint the administration that believed in his abilities. He excelled in his studies, reaching his third year at Afaq Institute for Development with a “Very Good” grade. This achievement motivated him to pursue university studies. “Everything felt like a dream,” says Mohammad, whose university expenses were fully covered by the Imam Sadr Foundation. Today, Mohammad is focused on achieving his dream in his chosen field. He is driven by the belief that serving humanity is both a goal and an honour. He says, “For the sake of humanity, I will continue.”
