Activist's Work Camp

Within the educational, cultural, and recreational activities that Imam Sadr Foundation (ISF) organizes annually, it has held a cultural camp with the sponsorship from the Canadian Embassy on Friday September 28 and Saturday September 29 of 2018.  The camp’s venue was on Imam Sadr Foundation’s campus with around 100 participants with an age range of 18 to 50. Around 85% of them were women who were ISF employees and others who were employees from other organizations.

This innovative approach to capacity-building was launched by the Human Resources Department. Mr. Waseem Al-Zein continued with the facilitators in preparing and presenting the activities.
Nine intellectual, educational, physical, and recreational activities were launched around the foundation’s campus that started from 9:00am to 3:00pm.  With the help of 20 employees for the execution of the activities, 5 administrators from the head-office and 5 employees for the logistics, the camping activities were launched.

The following are the names of the activities and the facilitators:

3. Well-Being and Diet (Maya Ghorayeb, Zahraa Awada)
4. Psychological First Aid (Mona Tiba, Ghadir Haidar)
5. Stress Management (Ghada El Zein, Rola Tiba, Elham Safieddine)
6. Le Nez Rouge (Master Trainer Abir Abd El-Reda)
7. Child Protection (Layan Charafeddine, Fatima Hamoud)
8. Energizer (Malak Houmani, Fatima Sbeiti, Samira Abboud)
9. Gender Based Violence (Mariam Hassan, Rania Abbass)

At the end of the program, photographs of the participants were taken with the trainers and supervisors of the cultural camp.
